The Department of Electrical Engineering is a member of the National Mechanical Vocational Teaching Steering Committee. At present, we have set up electrical automation technology, mechatronics technology, power system automation technology, applied electronics technology, industrial robot technology, UAV application technology, intelligent control technology, elevator engineering technology and other majors. Among them, the electrical automation technology major is supported by the central finance, the key construction major of the Ministry of Education, the demonstration major of Hebei Province, and the characteristic major of the national mechanical industry skill talent training. The major of mechatronic integration technology is a professional service industry development ability major under the key construction of the Ministry of Education and supported by the state finance. It is the major of Hebei Province "Instrument and Equipment Standardization Model". The department has more than 60 full-time teachers, including 18 associate professors and above. 90% of the teachers have dual quality. Hebei Provincial Department of Education officially approved that our college, Xingtai University and Xingtai Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association jointly establish "School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Xingtai University". In 2014, the Department of Electrical Engineering began to recruit undergraduate students majoring in automation.

Currently, the Department of Electrical Engineering has a national demonstration training base for electrical, electronic and automation technology funded by the central government, which mainly includes: Industrial robot flexible production line, UAV simulation control, UAV assembly, motion control system, automatic production line, maintenance electrician, digital control, detection technology, electrician, electronics, motor driving, electrical control, single chip microcomputer, PLC, photovoltaic power generation, power simulation, power relay protection, automation technology, electronic product design and production and related professional training room, With a total investment of more than 20 million yuan, more than 1000 students can carry out practical training at the same time.

The teachers and students of the Department of Electrical Engineering won the modern Electrical Control system Installation and commissioning Competition in the National Skills Competition, the Mechatronic Integration Competition in the National Skills Competition, the National Industrial Robot Technology Application Skills Competition, the "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, the National Mechanical Industry Vocational College Skills Competition - Mobile Robot Competition, Hebei Province Electronic Information Vocational Skills Competition, Hebei Province Industrial Machinery Outstanding achievements have been made in many national and provincial high-level skill competitions such as human Technology Application Skills Competition. We have won 9 first prizes, 13 second prizes and 12 third prizes. We have won 19 group first prizes, 21 group second prizes (including 1 national prize) and 24 group third prizes (including 3 national prizes). A total of 10 teachers were awarded the title of provincial or above excellent instructor; A total of 11 people won the title of provincial or above technical expert.
