As the second-level teaching institution of the college, the Physical Education Department undertakes the teaching tasks of the school's public physical education, as well as the training tasks of the sports team, planning and organizing various sports competitions of the whole school, organizing teams to participate in sports events at all levels, and taking charge of the teaching tasks of the whole school's students' extracurricular sports activities, after-school sports training, students' physical health monitoring, etc.

At present, there are three majors: leisure sports major, leisure service and management major and ethnic traditional sports. Leisure Sports Major was approved by the Ministry of Education and the Hebei Provincial Department of Education in 2016. It is the first leisure sports professional education institution in Hebei Province. It cultivates application-oriented sports professionals who have the concept of leisure sports and the skills needed for leisure sports, and can be engaged in the guidance and service, operation and management, planning and design of leisure sports. The professional training of leisure service and management aims to serve the sports industry and cultivate application-oriented talents characterized by "planning, management, service and strong skills" with good professional ability and public relations management ability in the sports industry. Ethnic Traditional Sports Major is the first vocational college in Hebei Province to cooperate with national sports intangible cultural heritage projects (Plum Blossom Boxing, Tan Legs, Wang Qi and Tai Chi).

The Department has a team of 24 professional and part-time teachers with reasonable knowledge structure, including 4 senior title, 12 lecturers, 4 first-level judges and 20 second-level judges. All teachers have master's degrees or above. It has compiled more than 10 kinds of teaching materials, written nearly 80 papers and completed more than 30 provincial and municipal projects. It is currently undertaking the research tasks of more than 10 scientific research projects of the Ministry of Education and provincial and municipal projects.

In recent years, the university has invested 30 million yuan in the construction of sports venues, including standardized track and field, plastic basketball and volleyball courts, badminton courts, table tennis courts, tennis courts, roller skating courts, taekwondo rooms, mass aerobics (sports dance) rooms, physical fitness centers and other sports venues, with a total construction area of more than 44,000 square meters. Among them, the Quality development Center is the campus outdoor practice education base of "China Outdoor Education Network" and the students' quality development base of Xingtai No. 12 Middle School. With advanced equipment and perfect functions, the training room can fully guarantee the teaching needs of all majors and lay a solid foundation for students to enter vocational positions. The off-campus practice employment base has closely cooperated with more than 20 sports industry companies in the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" region, such as Shijiazhuang Lihang Enterprise Management Consulting (Group) Co., LTD., Yizhao Wade Fitness and Super Fitness Club, to build a professional practice base. Students can be recommended to choose employment units in the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" or other large and medium-sized cities.
